Newnan Georgia
With a population of over 16,000 (2000 Census: 16,242), Newnan is a center of planned growth and activity for the west central Georgia region. The city has five historic districts listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The majestic classical revival style courthouse was the site of the murder trial immortalized in the book Murder in Coweta County and has been the site of many movies and TV shows.
The renovated shops and restaurants on the square are locally owned by friendly merchants who extend warm southern hospitality to all visitors.

Coweta County Development Authority
Coweta County Development Authority is a Constitutional Authority established by an amendment to the Georgia State Constitution. As such it has a broad range of powers as spelled out in the amendment. The Authority consists of an all volunteer five member board, appointed by the County Commissioners. These five board members also serve on a Statutory Authority, The Development Authority of Coweta County, which has two additional members also appointed by the County Commissioners.
